Louise Bradford - Author

Louise Bradford loves to spend time in the woods. She wrote her debut picture book, Wade’s Wiggly Antlers, after a camping trip in Lake Superior Provincial Park, where she came across a little moose. After learning that male moose lose their antlers so bigger ones can grow – much like the way children lose their first teeth – Louise wondered how a little moose might feel when his antlers start to wiggle. Would he be worried? Would he still be able to play?#Louise’s other stories have been produced by CBC Radio and CBC Television. She is a two-time recipient of the Canada Council for the Arts Artists and Community Collaboration grant for her filmmaking program with at-risk youth. Louise was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, and now lives in Ottawa, where she writes speeches for grown-ups.~Twitter: @lbradfordwriter~Instagram: @lbradfordwriter
