Jacqui Oakley

Jacqui Oakley has been a professional illustrator for over ten years, working with such clients as Rolling Stone, AOL, Amazon, ESPN, the Financial Times (UK) and The Atlantic. Her work has gained recognition from international illustration bodies such as Communication Arts, American Illustration, Applied Arts and The Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles. Her paintings have been exhibited in Toronto, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Montreal, San Diego and Shanghai.

Born in Canada, Jacqui spent her formative years living in Bahrain, Zambia, England and Libya, while her parents traveled for work. In 1989 she returned to Canada, where she would graduate from the Illustration program at Sheridan College's School of Art and Design in 2001. In addition to her work as a freelance illustrator, Jacqui has been an instructor at OCAD University (Ontario College of Art and Design) in Toronto since 2006. She currently lives and works in Hamilton, Ontario, with her husband, designer Jamie Lawson.
