Caroline Adderson - Author

Caroline Adderson grew up in Alberta, a girl with long, messy braids and a baseball cap. After she finished school, she spent a year traveling around Canada doing all kinds of jobs such as sheep farming, carpentry and working at a community radio station. She went to Vancouver, British Columbia, to attend university and liked it so much she stayed.

Caroline first began writing for adults. Then, when her son was five, she wrote some simple stories based on their adventures. Eventually they were collected into her first children's book. Twelve books later, she's still writing for kids.

As well as writing, Caroline teaches, and she hangs out with her husband and the same son who lied to her when he promised he'd always be seven. (He's a teenager now.) Caroline walks her tree-climbing Jack Russell Terrier, Mickey, reads, gardens, cooks and travels. She is interested in almost everything except watching television.
