Scaredy Squirrel, the lovable worrywart with legions of fans, is a rising international star, now published in 18 languages around the world. The Scaredy Squirrel series has sold more than 1.6 million books worldwide, with the award-winning Mélanie Watt library of books, including the popular Chester series, selling more than 2.5 million units combined.
In keeping with the mandate introduced 40 years ago, today Kids Can Press is proud to publish a nonfiction series that raises kids’ social consciousness, through the CitizenKid™ imprint. The only collection of its kind in the world, the series has sold more than 700,000 copies worldwide, and features perennial bestselling nonfiction books If the World Were a Village, One Hen and Tree of Life, all teacher favorites.
