BOOK NEWS

The Buzz Is Growing for Binky!
While we’re waiting for the first signs of Spring, Kids Can Press is building buzz for Fall, especially for our highly anticipated new graphic novel, Binky the Space Cat. This hilarious and smartly drawn graphic novel — the first book from new KCP creator Ashley Spires — follows the adventures of Binky as he explores outer space (outside) and battles alien creatures (bugs), while protecting his humans.

Binky’s charming face has already started showing up at trade shows in Canada and the United States on exclusive giveaway “Binky Buttons.” Be sure to stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new character, coming August 2009.

The Resource Room: Relaunched and Better Than Ever
Kids Can Press is happy to announce the relaunch of the Resource Room. Initially unveiled in 2005, the Resource Room is a free, one-stop content source specifically designed for teachers and librarians. The site has been completely redesigned to showcase close to 1000 downloadable resources, including hands-on activities, project ideas, information pages, experiments, book support materials and thematic book lists. All of this material is easily searchable by curriculum area, grade range or keyword.

Use an e-mail address to quickly sign-up and gain instant access to tons of great downloadable resources. Visit the new site at resourceroom.kidscanpress.com.
